A message from our 2021 President, Michael Luu, DMD
We made it to 2021. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a healthy and prosperous New Year and also to welcome our Association’s new members. I would like to thank our Immediate Past President Dr. Tracy Nguyen for her dedication and excellent leadership during 2020. I also would like to thank our Board members and Advisors who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help our Association.
Even though we all had a very challenging year in 2020, I am glad that everyone is doing well, and I am optimistic that everything will slowly go back to normal now that we have the COVID-19 vaccine. I encourage our members to take the required courses to become certified so that when the time arrives, we can lend a hand to our community and contribute to the COVID-19 vaccination effort.
While I am very happy that our Association has been able to provide our members CE courses via Zoom, this year I am looking forward to having in-person CE courses again as soon as it is safe to do so. I am also looking forward to continuing our Association’s activities such as our summer picnic for members and family, Dental Health Fair for our community and scholarship program for college students.
Once again, thank you all for your continuing support and thank you all for making our Association a fun and friendly place to learn and grow both personally and professionally.
A message from our Immediate Past President, Tracy Van Nguyen, DDS
It is time to say goodbye to the most eventful and memorable year of 2020. It was the year with the COVID-19 pandemic, the stay-at-home order, the blazing wildfires, the passing of my father, the ups and downs of emotions. However, often in the darkness time it helped us to discover true love, happiness and strength. It was the opportunity for us to spend valuable time with our loved ones and to do good causes.
NCAVAD was proud to help our members and our community during the difficult time. We had a successful talk show on Viet Today TV about dental healthcare and COVID-19, and got many great feedbacks from the community. Thanks to our board members to work hard in organizing the fantastic CE Webinars for our members. Our Annual Spring Gala in February right before the pandemic was a tremendous success.
I would like to express my million thanks and appreciations to NCAVAD Board of Directors and Board of Advisors for their dedicated works and support. It was my great honor to serve as the 23rd President of NCAVAD, and I still continue to dedicate my time along with our board members to make a big difference and a great impact on the community and the next generations.
To our members, NCAVAD has grown stronger everyday with your continuing support. Please follow us on www.ncavad.org and WhatsApp for our upcoming activities. Wishing you a year of 2021 with love, health, happiness and success
